Our policy on service fees, cancellations, and refunds for tax, immigration, translation, and notary services.
This Refund Policy explains how Marte Business Group handles refunds and cancellations for the professional services we provide — tax preparation, immigration paperwork assistance, certified translation, and notary services. Because these are professional services rather than physical goods, our refund terms work differently from a typical retail return policy. Please read this page before booking an appointment.
Our fee is for our work, not a guarantee of your IRS refund. The professional fee you pay us covers the time, expertise, and preparation involved in completing your tax return, form, translation, or notarization. It is entirely separate from any refund the IRS or a state tax agency may (or may not) issue to you. We do not control the amount or timing of government-issued refunds, and our fee is non-contingent on the outcome of your filing.
Because tax preparation involves real time and expertise spent reviewing your documents and preparing your return, our fee policy is as follows:
| Situation | Refund Eligibility |
|---|---|
| You cancel before we begin preparing your return | Full refund of any deposit paid |
| Preparation has started but the return has not been filed | Partial refund, minus time already spent |
| Your return has already been filed with the IRS or state | Not eligible for a refund of the preparation fee |
| We make an error in preparing your return | We correct it at no additional charge (see Section 07) |
If you believe there’s a mistake in your return, please contact us as soon as possible so we can review and correct it.
Our fee covers helping you complete and organize your forms accurately. Once a form or application package has been submitted to USCIS or another agency on your behalf, our service fee is not refundable, since our work has been completed and government filing fees (where applicable) are separate, non-refundable charges set by the agency itself. If you cancel before submission, we will refund our service fee minus any time already spent preparing your paperwork.
Once a certified translation has been completed and delivered to you, the service fee is final and non-refundable, as the work has been fully performed. If you find an error in a completed translation, let us know within 7 days of delivery and we will correct it at no extra cost. If you cancel a translation request before we begin work, you’ll receive a full refund; if you cancel after work has started but before completion, a partial refund will be issued based on work completed.
Notary fees are charged for the notarial act itself — verifying identity and witnessing a signature — and are due at the time of service. Because this service is performed on the spot, notary fees are non-refundable once the notarization has taken place.
If we make an error in preparing your tax return, immigration form, or translation, we will correct it at no additional charge. If the error resulted in a fee being charged to you unnecessarily (for example, a filing that had to be redone due to our mistake), we will refund the portion of the fee tied to that error. This does not cover changes in outcome due to incomplete or inaccurate information provided by the client, or decisions made by government agencies that are outside our control.
To request a refund or raise a concern about a service, please:
Approved refunds are returned using the same payment method originally used, whenever possible.
